  • Metrovalencia acoge la exposición fotográfica MEM ROM

    Tras su paso por el Salón de Cristal del Ayuntamiento de Valencia la estación de Bailén de Metrovalencia acogía la exposición fotográfica MEM ROM sobre el genocio gitano Nazi o Samudaripen.

    Coincidiendo con las vacaciones de Pascua, durante Semana Santa los viajeros y visitantes que transitaban por la estación podían visionar los 20 paneles con imágenes y textos sobre la historia, cultura y personajes relevantes del pueblo gitano. Además, también se han organizado visitas guiadas y un concurso de redacción para estudiantes de la ESO.

    Para llevar a cabo la muestra Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana ha colaborado con la Federación Maranatha, como en anteriores ocasiones, también a través de la Línea 0.

  • One of the cities where you can visit the Traveling photo exhibition “Memory of the Rroma persecution in Europe”, is Valencia.

    During the month of November, the most recent monographic panels of the exhibition were exhibited at the Palau de Pineda in the city. It was very visited, as it coincided with the 27th, 28th and 29th of November in which the VII International Rroma Seminar took place. They assumed some strategic dates to obtain a greater influx of visitors, in this way it had more repercussion; and, in turn, the Palau de Pineda is an emblematic and tourist place of the city visited by tourists, both foreigners and Valencians.

    The traveling photo exhibition “Memory of the Rroma persecution in Europe“, has been designed by the Maranatha Federation of Gypsy Associations and consists of more than twenty monographic panels on the history of the Roma people in Europe, their migratory movements and persecutions.

    In these panels, the people attending the exhibition will be able to know through text and images the history of the Roma people at European level, the racist attitudes they have suffered as a minority ethnic group and their struggle to maintain persecuted traditions and culture.

    An initiative that is part of the European project Mem-Rrom: Memory of the Rroma persecution in Europe. The Maranatha Federation of Gypsy Associations has been able to carry out all this work thanks to the support and co-financing of the European Commission and the Europe for Citizens Program; also thanks to the logistical and financial support of the Generalitat Valencia and the Diputació de València.

  • Metrovalencia hosts the exhibition MEM ROM

    After its passage at the Salón de Cristal of the Cityhall of Valencia Bailen metro station has hosted the photographic exhibiton MEM ROM about Nazi’s gypsy genocide known as Samudaripen.

    Coinciding with Easter, during this week of holliday travellers and visitors passing by the station could enjoy of the 20 pannels with texts and images about history, culture and relevant people from gypsy  folks. In addition, guided tours and a writing contest for ESO students have also been organized.

    In order to organise this exhibition, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana has collaborated with Federación Maranatha, as on previous occasions, also through Línea 0.
