During the month of November, the most recent monographic panels of the exhibition were exhibited at the Palau de Pineda in the city. It was very visited, as it coincided with the 27th, 28th and 29th of November in which the VII International Rroma Seminar took place. They assumed some strategic dates to obtain a greater influx of visitors, in this way it had more repercussion; and, in turn, the Palau de Pineda is an emblematic and tourist place of the city visited by tourists, both foreigners and Valencians.
The traveling photo exhibition “Memory of the Rroma persecution in Europe“, has been designed by the Maranatha Federation of Gypsy Associations and consists of more than twenty monographic panels on the history of the Roma people in Europe, their migratory movements and persecutions.
In these panels, the people attending the exhibition will be able to know through text and images the history of the Roma people at European level, the racist attitudes they have suffered as a minority ethnic group and their struggle to maintain persecuted traditions and culture.
An initiative that is part of the European project Mem-Rrom: Memory of the Rroma persecution in Europe. The Maranatha Federation of Gypsy Associations has been able to carry out all this work thanks to the support and co-financing of the European Commission and the Europe for Citizens Program; also thanks to the logistical and financial support of the Generalitat Valencia and the Diputació de València.
